Regional Water Treatment Manager - Dubai

Our client is a beverage manufacturer with operations across the entire Africa, Oceania and Asia (AOA) region. They are looking to recruit a Water Treatment Manager to be based in their Dubai office, where you will lead projects across the region.

Role description
Reporting directly into the Regional Technical Director, your main objective will be to oversee and assist in the troubleshooting activities as much as requested and necessary, as well as in the preparation, planning and execution of Water Treatment (WT) related projects across the entire AOA region.

You will be based out of the Dubai office, where you will regularly travel across the AOA region. Your role will be mainly divided between the below 2 areas:

Technical Assistance & Project Management
- Assist local facilities in troubleshooting and implementation of new water processes, new equipment and best practices
- Conduct and/or evaluate technical specifications for bidding and for purchasing activities of water processes
- Manage existing WT suppliers, identify and develop new suppliers in collaboration with our Research Center (PTC)
- Participate in the commissioning and start-up of technical equipment and/or water processes in our factories or in our suppliers' facilities
- Participate in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team

Consulting & Expertise in our subsidiaries
- Assist and advise our factories on investments, on water processes installations
- Coordinate development projects in factories together with suppliers
- Conduct and/or participate in audit activities, technical evaluation of water processes in our subsidiaries
- Participate in MBS (Master Business Schedule) exercise to help define the future of our factories
- Validate new water resources in collaboration with the Zone Water Resources Manager
- Streamline water and energy consumption of our processes

The successful candidate must hold a Chemical Engineering (or similar) university degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the food & beverage industry and/or drinking water treatment. Experience with hygienic design, P&IDs, cleaning and disinfection procedures is a must for this role.
The candidate must also be open to travel as this is a regional role which will require a lot of travel across the region.
