Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory control, and vendor management within UAE-based organizations. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely availability of products, cost-efficiency, and compliance with UAE import/export laws and regulatory standards. Operating across sectors such as retail, healthcare, manufacturing, or construction, the manager will lead cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain performance and support strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals and UAE regulations.
2. Manage procurement activities, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.
3. Oversee logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and customs clearance, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
4. Monitor and optimize inventory levels using demand forecasting and stock analysis.
5. Coordinate with finance, operations, and sales departments to streamline processes.
6. Ensure compliance with UAE laws on import/export, product labeling, customs duties, and safety standards.
7. Identify risks and inefficiencies, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Utilize ERP and supply chain management systems for performance tracking, reporting, and decision support.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
2. 6–8 years of experience in supply chain or logistics management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role in the UAE.
3. Strong knowledge of UAE trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
4. Proven ability to manage large-scale procurement and distribution across multiple locations.
5. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
6. Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
7. Strong leadership and communication skills for managing teams and external partners.
8. Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage, especially for dealings with authorities and vendors.
