The Opportunity

The College of Business is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Dubai Campus who will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Assistant Dean, faculty, and students.

The Responsibilities
  • Act as an initial point of contact for students.
  • Provide support to the Assistant Dean during registration periods by managing student requests and scheduling meetings on the Assistant Dean's calendar.
  • Assist with coordinating college-related activities on campus (e.g., setting up college booths and preparing publications for Major's Day).
  • Assist with contacting graduates and tasks related to the graduation ceremony.
  • Maintain and update the list of approved College of Business textbooks. Distribute textbooks to faculty in coordination with the academic administrative officer.
  • Organize field trips and transport for students and accompany them as a chaperone whenever necessary/possible.
  • Assist students with campus activities and provide them with advice.
  • Coordinate with the Internship Officer regarding student requests for RPL.
  • Develop spreadsheets accessing student records to verify information.
  • Book rooms for meetings.
  • Arrange catering as required.
  • Assist with translation whenever necessary/possible.
The Requirements
  • Higher diploma or equivalent; with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education, skills, or experience.
  • Computer literacy and a typing speed of at least 35-40 wpm in English.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an asset.
