The Maintenance Manager (based onsite in Dibba Fujairah) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance across Dibba Bay’s oyster farm and supporting infrastructure. This role ensures the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, and marine equipment while supporting operational continuity and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for farm equipment, processing facilities, and marine assets (boats, pontoons, etc.).
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Ensure all machinery, systems, and buildings comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and tools; coordinate procurement as needed.
- Schedule and manage inspections, servicing, and repairs for boats, engines, water pumps, refrigeration systems, and processing equipment.
- Coordinate with farm and production teams to minimize equipment downtime and optimize operational flow.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, and other relevant food safety and environmental standards.
- Track maintenance records, costs, and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with external service providers and vendors for specialized repair or upgrade projects.
- Contribute to capital planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Project management of all fixed improvement projects from initiation to closure. (incl providing list of procurement of materials and services and project budget management)
- Upkeep and management of external facilities (warehouse, labour camps etc.).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of maintenance experience, preferably in aquaculture, food production, or marine operations.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, hydraulics, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
- Experience with marine equipment maintenance (boats, outboards, pontoons) is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and CMMS tools.
- Understanding of HSE and food safety compliance (HACCP, ISO standards).
- UAE driving license preferred.
- Competency in technical drawing software will be a bonus
- Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Hindi is preferable for effective communication with contractors and local teams.
