The Vehicle Body Repairer is responsible for assessing, repairing, and restoring damaged vehicle bodies to manufacturer standards. This role involves working with various tools and techniques to reshape panels, replace damaged parts, and ensure a high-quality finish. Precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of modern automotive repair technologies are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
Inspect damaged vehicles and estimate repair time and cost.
Remove dents and straighten bent frames or panels using specialized tools.
Replace damaged body parts such as bumpers, hoods, and fenders.
Weld or bond replacement parts into place.
Sand, prime, and prepare surfaces for painting.
Align body panels and ensure proper fit and finish.
Collaborate with painters and mechanics for complete vehicle restoration.
Maintain and operate body repair equipment safely and effectively.
Document all repair activities for insurance and customer records.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or vocational training in auto body repair.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in vehicle body repair.
Proficiency with tools such as hydraulic jacks, dollies, and welding machines.
Knowledge of vehicle structural design and repair techniques.
Ability to read technical drawings and repair manuals.
Good hand-eye coordination and physical strength.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
Familiarity with health and safety standards in automotive workshops.
Experience with computerized damage assessment tools is a plus.
UAE driving license is preferred.
