Job Title:

Sales Manager Hot Rolled Steel (Middle East Region)

Location:

Preferably based in UAE, Saudi Arabia, or Qatar, or remote with frequent travel within the region

Company Overview:

Our client is a publicly listed, top-tier Chinese steel manufacturer with a global footprint and strong production capacity in hot-rolled steel products. As part of its international expansion strategy, the company is looking to strengthen its presence in the Middle East market by hiring a regional sales manager with proven expertise in steel trading.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales of hot rolled steel products (coil, sheet, plate) across the Middle East, focusing on B2B clients (distributors, stockists, end-users, project contractors).
  • Build and manage a strong customer pipeline and achieve regional sales and revenue targets.
  • Lead contract negotiations, manage payment terms (especially LC-based deals), and coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Conduct regular market analysis, monitor price trends and competitor activities, and provide strategic input to HQ.
  • Act as the key liaison between clients and China HQ (production, shipping, documentation, and finance teams).
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions, networking events, and key account meetings in the region.

Requirements:

  • 35+ years of sales experience in the steel industry, preferably in hot rolled steel products.
  • Established client network in GCC countries (e.g., UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman).
  • Strong commercial acumen, communication, and deal-closing skills.
  • Familiarity with international trade terms (Incoterms), export logistics, and LC processes.
  • Able to work independently with strong self-motivation and target orientation.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic or Mandarin is a plus.

Preferred Background:

  • Prior experience working with Chinese steel mills or international steel trading companies.
  • Strong understanding of the regional market structure and key demand drivers for hot rolled products.
  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships with key distributors or EPC contractors.
