Job description

A Chief Engineer is responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel to ensure an excellent Guest and Member experience. This includes performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating renovation projects.

What will I be doing?

As a Chief Engineer, your responsibilities will include managing all maintenance issues, conducting daily checks, repairing mechanical equipment, and coordinating renovation projects. You will also develop emergency programs. Specific tasks include:

1. Managing maintenance issues within the hotel
2. Performing daily checks around the hotel
3. Conducting lift emergency release procedures as required
4. Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment
5. Building good relationships with internal and external customers
6. Ensuring all hotel fixtures and fittings are in safe condition and addressing unsafe situations
7. Developing, implementing, and directing emergency programs
8. Managing energy conservation programs to minimize expenses
9. Coordinating renovation bidding, defining project scope and costs, and overseeing contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
10. Handling special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
11. Ensuring the health and safety of the hotel environment
12. Conducting monthly safety inspections and employee training
