Your future role

Manage and direct employees at an APM system to accomplish the overall operation and maintenance of the site system in accordance with customer contractual requirements and company policies and procedures.

We look to you for:

Technical/Engineering Functions:

1. Enforce all company safety policies/rules and promote a positive safety culture.
2. Lead and direct the workforce to build and maintain efficient and effective work teams.
3. Direct the revision of procedures in response to customer concerns or changing system priorities and requirements.
4. Be knowledgeable of and compliant with the provisions of the specific contract under which the SDC operates.
5. Develop and administer training programs to enhance work team skills.
6. Compile and submit reports to the Director/Manager and division departments.
7. Provide management presence and initiative in the absence of the SDC manager; undertake other managerial and professional duties as assigned.
8. Facilitate staff meetings.
9. Supervise and enforce site configuration control policies and procedures.
10. Oversee the planning, development, and use of systems to report, manage, and analyze system operations, maintenance, inventory, spares, and budget data.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Alstom's core values, leadership attributes, company policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring and training employees, planning and directing work, appraising performance, conducting competence reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and ensuring efficiency and productivity within the work group.

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in operations and maintenance of a mass transit system.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems principles.
• Experience with vehicle and wayside systems, including Vehicle Systems, Signaling, Communication systems, Wayside switches, Power supply, and Platform Screen Doors (preferred).
• Ability to maintain rapport with employees and other personnel, and to deal courteously and effectively with others.
• Ability to supervise and train subordinates and enforce safety regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
