Job description

At Electra, we seek talented individuals who share our strategy to become the preferred contracting partner for local and international clients aiming to set up events within the GCC. Under the guidance of the Projects Director, the Project Manager is responsible for delivering projects from initial preparation to final onsite delivery, including dismantling. They act as the main point of contact and take full ownership of the project, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.

Requirements

• Serve as the main point of contact for the project, liaising between the client and all internal and external stakeholders.

Project Preparation

• Study and understand all project details and constraints, developing an action plan for success.
• Collaborate with designers to prepare technical drawings and relevant documents for project execution.
• Develop a detailed production and build-up plan aligned with project milestones.
• Prepare project P&L based on the provided budget to monitor progress and ensure profitability.
• Provide production crews, subcontractors, and site managers with necessary documentation, including technical drawings, bill of quantities, project planning, and access permits.

Project Execution

• Manage and control job costs to meet or beat budget targets using available tools and techniques.
• Oversee the use of internal and external resources, including management of outside labor and approval of all project-related purchases.
• Analyze project financials to control costs and maximize profitability.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide clients with regular updates and escalate issues to the Account Manager when necessary.
• Prepare health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.

Project Delivery, Closing, and Reporting

• Maintain up-to-date project files and documents in the server and ERP system.
• Manage relationships with client representatives and stakeholders to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Prepare closure documentation, including performance and financial reports.

Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management within events, exhibitions, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management or a relevant field.
• Technical knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and techniques (carpentry, paint, steel, electrical).
• Strong planning and budget management skills.
• Client-facing experience and management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• UAE driving license is required.
