Job description

Join Our Team at Eaton: Empowering Tomorrow, Today!

Eaton has been a key player in the Middle East for 40 years. This July, we announced the construction of a new sustainable campus in Dubai, which will bring together our commercial, manufacturing, and support functions, providing room for future growth.

What You'll Do

The energy transition creates an enormous opportunity for building owners to manage power far more effectively. We're accelerating this shift by making it easier to integrate renewables, energy storage, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. With our Buildings as a Grid approach, customers can transform their building into an energy hub to take advantage of the new power paradigm, better manage existing electrical infrastructure, and prepare for future energy requirements. This is our Everything as a Grid strategy at work, creating flexible energy systems to power the future—accelerating decarbonization, boosting resilience, reducing energy costs, and creating new revenue streams.

Eaton recognizes the importance of product compatibility within the Building as a Grid ecosystem, allowing customers to create tailored solutions. As part of the Energy Transition BU, the Integration Engineer will ensure Eaton products are compatible with third-party products available in the market to enable those solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee integration tests of the Building as a Grid portfolio with third-party systems, ensuring seamless communication and functionality, and report findings clearly.
  2. Work closely with engineering to resolve integration issues promptly and effectively.
  3. Act as the primary technical contact during the sales process for firmware-related issues, providing quick solutions.
  4. Develop Proof of Concept (PoC) and demos to support sales efforts.
  5. Provide training to country application engineers to share technical knowledge.
  6. Support ongoing validation efforts by assisting in root cause analysis.
  7. Collaborate with development and product management teams to share insights and feedback.
  8. Participate in industry meetings, especially OCA, to stay updated on trends such as OCPP2.x, communication regulations, plug and charge, etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electronics, Firmware, or Embedded Systems.
Skills
  • Experience with Energy Management IoT products, especially EV Chargers, is beneficial.
  • 2-3 years of experience in firmware development and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Linux and knowledge of C++.
  • Embedded C and Python knowledge are pluses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and teams.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Challenging projects within a dynamic team.
  • Opportunities for internal promotion and growth.
  • Ongoing learning and development via Eaton University.
  • Focus on safety, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Supportive wellbeing initiatives.
