Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Accounting Manager to join our gold and jewelry manufacturing company based in Sharjah, UAE. This role requires exclusive experience in the gold and jewelry industry, with a deep understanding of accounting practices related to gold production, cost calculations, weight tracking, gold pricing fluctuations, and variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting operations for gold manufacturing and sales.
- Monitor and reconcile daily gold movements across production, inventory, and sales channels.
- Manage and analyze gold loss/gain variances across manufacturing stages.
- Prepare trial balances (quarterly and annually) and ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Handle costing operations, including calculation of gold product costs, manufacturing expenses, and overhead allocation.
- Track and incorporate gold price differences in costing and profit margin calculations.
- Supervise preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and internal control procedures.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in alignment with business goals.
- Manage internal audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
- Ensure accuracy in inventory valuation based on real-time gold prices and weight precision.
- Implement and maintain financial systems (preferably Wingold Next) and optimize process efficiency.
- Train and supervise the finance team and ensure high-quality output and accuracy.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with proven and exclusive experience in the gold and jewelry industry.
- In-depth knowledge of gold accounting, including weight-based tracking, cost pricing, loss/gain reporting, and metal valuation.
- Strong command of accounting software; experience with Wingold Next is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Excellent understanding of trial balances, cost structures, and pricing dynamics in gold trading.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
