We are hiring a commercially focused Finance Director to lead the finance function of our fast-moving technology business. Reporting to the Group CFO, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving performance, providing strategic financial insight, and overseeing financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong business partnering skills, team leadership experience, and a background in either the technology or retail sectors. Prior involvement in a large-scale ERP project (SAP) is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance & Business Partnering

• Partner with senior leadership to guide business strategy, commercial decisions, and operational efficiency
• Influence key stakeholders through clear financial insight and performance tracking
• Lead financial input on strategic projects and growth initiatives

Financial Planning & Reporting

• Lead all aspects of budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
• Deliver timely and accurate management reporting and board packs
• Provide deep financial analysis, scenario modelling, and risk assessment

ERP Project Leadership (SAP)

• Act as a finance lead on the SAP ERP implementation, ensuring successful rollout and alignment with business needs
• Streamline financial processes, reporting structures, and controls through SAP best practices
• Liaise between finance, IT, and external partners to deliver a scalable and effective ERP environment

Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor a direct team of 4 across key finance areas (reporting, FP&A, operations, AP)
• Foster a high-performance team culture with a focus on development, accountability, and collaboration
• Ensure workload balance, succession planning, and continuous team improvement

Governance & Compliance

• Oversee internal controls, compliance, audit processes, and statutory obligations
• Ensure financial reporting aligns with both local regulations and group policies

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles
• Sector experience in technology or retail is essential
• Demonstrated strength in business partnering, influencing, and decision support
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills
• Proven track record in budgeting, planning, reporting, and financial operations
• SAP ERP project experience, must have led or played a key role in a large-scale ERP implementation
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and scale finance teams in high-growth environments
