Job description

AECOM's Urbanism + Planning studio is currently seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to oversee bids and proposals. The successful candidate will be involved in bid planning, technical reviews, and quality management. They will support in proactively identifying new business development opportunities and actively participate in proposal development.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and mentor bid management staff within the project team or location.
2. Assist in the development of proposals and participate in presentations to potential clients.
3. Possess bid development and/or technical proposal writing experience, including hands-on cost proposal development.
4. Support relevant Leads on all proposal activities.
5. Maintain a list of all active projects and provide weekly reports to the bids and proposal unit.
6. Identify prospects and pursuits.
7. Assist in market research and reporting for new growth areas.
8. Coordinate with marketing staff to ensure prerequisites (like prequalification or vendor list registration) are fulfilled timely.
9. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external use.
10. Participate in go/no-go decision-making processes and bid development from start to finish.
11. Review tender documents, bid/qualification requests, and drawings for proposal preparation.
12. Work with Discipline Leads to produce man-hour estimates and delivery schedules.
13. Resolve issues in discussions with other End Markets and Regions to ensure scope and costs are adequately addressed.
14. Oversee obtaining quotes from sub-consultants and lead negotiations of terms and conditions based on company standards and Risk committee requirements.
15. Monitor Salesforce entries for accuracy and currency.
16. Ensure compliance with AECOM policies and proper record maintenance.
17. Verify inclusion of all legal qualifications and directives before bid submission.
18. Deliver proposals within deadlines.
19. Prepare presentations for the Risk Committee and present independently for pursuits up to $50m.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• Knowledge of bid preparation and proposal development in Landscape Architecture.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in a similar role.
