Location: Dubai Knowledge Park, Dubai, UAE

Reports to: ESL Director of Studies

Employment Type: Full-time

Language Requirement: Only native English speakers will be considered

Salary: AED 17,000 per month

Role Overview:

The Director of Studies is responsible for maintaining and elevating the quality of academic programs. This role combines leadership, strategic planning, curriculum design, teacher development, and collaboration with marketing and recruitment teams to drive both educational excellence and student satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic Leadership
2. Ensure excellence in the delivery of English programs (General English, IELTS, Business English, etc.)
3. Conduct classroom observations and provide regular feedback to instructors
4. Create and manage academic policies, placement procedures, and performance tracking systems
5. Monitor and enhance student outcomes and satisfaction
6. Teacher Management & Development
7. Recruit, train, and evaluate English teaching staff
8. Lead weekly teacher meetings and ongoing professional development
9. Manage teacher schedules, classroom assignments, and performance reviews
10. Foster a collaborative, innovation-driven teaching environment

Curriculum & Course Development

• Design and update CEFR-aligned syllabi tailored to students' goals
• Integrate engaging teaching materials, technology, and best practices
• Customize course content for Dubai's multicultural learner base
• Ensure alignment with industry and examination standards (e.g., IELTS)

Student Success & Experience

• Oversee placement testing and class level allocation
• Respond to academic complaints and resolve student concerns
• Track student attendance, progress, and retention
• Implement initiatives that boost engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes

Collaboration with Marketing & Recruitment

• Work closely with the marketing team to provide academic input for promotional materials
• Support trial classes, open days, and academic presentations
• Offer strategic academic insights for digital campaigns and outreach
• Support international student recruitment efforts and engagement

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all academic operations align with KHDA regulations and standards
• Prepare academic reports, inspection documents, and policy frameworks
• Implement internal quality assurance processes
• Stay updated on global ELT trends and innovations
