Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager with a strong consulting and contracting background to join our team. The ideal candidate must have demonstrable experience managing contracts on mega projects including high-rise buildings, luxury hotels, and large-scale commercial developments in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating Contracts/Sub-Contracts. Agreements/LOAS/LOIs and other contractual instruments including collateral warranties, bank guarantees, parent company guarantees, etc.,
  • Preparing and responding to other parties' claims [EOT, Prolongation, Abortive Works, Acceleration, etc..,
  • Assist HOD in preparing against and defending to other parties' formal disputes litigation/arbitration) by assisting in preparing Statement of Claims, memorandums, etc. to serve company's interest,
  • Conducting risk analysis while acquiring lands or awarding contract to contractors, and
  • Drafting contractual Correspondences. Lead and manage all contractual aspects of large-scale construction projects.
  • Provide expert advice on contract interpretation, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations in line with FIDIC and other relevant forms.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, consultants, and legal teams to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Monitor and manage claims, delay analysis, and cost control.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met from pre-contract to post-contract stages.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience, with a strong background in consulting and contracting-side of project delivery.
  • Proven experience managing contracts on mega projects in the UAE/GCC, specifically high-rise buildings, hotels, and commercial complexes.
  • Sound knowledge of FIDIC, local UAE contract law, and dispute resolution procedures.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Education & Certifications:

  • LLM in Construction Law or a related field (preferred).
  • MRICS – Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • MCIArb – Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
  • MACost.C – Member of the Association of Cost Engineers or equivalent.
