POST: Secondary Teacher of Science at Safa Community School, Dubai

We are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Secondary School Science Teacher to join our accomplished department. The successful candidate will teach across the age and ability range, including GCSE and A-Level.

General Professional Responsibilities
  1. Teaching, including planning, preparing lessons, assessing, and reporting student progress.
  2. Using data to inform teaching and interventions.
  3. Preparing students for public exams and recording assessments.
  4. Communicating with parents and attending meetings.
  5. Maintaining discipline and participating in departmental activities.
  6. Contributing to curriculum development and departmental policies.
  7. Engaging in professional development and staying updated with curriculum innovations.
  8. Collaborating with support teachers and mentoring beginning teachers.
  9. Managing curriculum areas or projects as assigned.
  10. Familiarizing with the DSIB inspection framework and supporting UAE initiatives.
Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  1. Relevant qualifications.
  2. Experience teaching in British Curriculum schools, including IGCSE and A-Level.
  3. Enthusiasm for the subject and ability to convey it.
  4. Understanding of assessment and examination requirements for KS3 to KS5.
  5. Proven track record of outstanding teaching and student progress.
  6. Teamwork and professional development mindset.
