Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Category Growth & Marketing Assistant Manager for the baby/toys category to join our Growth & Digital Strategy team. This role is crucial in driving category growth, enhancing market presence, and improving customer engagement through innovative marketing strategies and effective category management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive growth strategies for assigned categories to drive market share, revenue, and profitability.
  2. Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and offline platforms, to promote category products and drive sales.
  3. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. Use insights to inform category strategies and marketing initiatives.
  4. Collaborate with brands to plan the product lifecycle sales, from launch to end-of-life phase, ensuring co-marketing strategies that drive demand across each phase.
  5. Monitor and analyze the performance of categories and marketing campaigns, using key metrics to assess effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  6. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure alignment and successful execution of category strategies.
  7. Manage budgets for category marketing activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximization of ROI.
  8. Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve category offerings and marketing approaches.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from top-tier colleges; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in category management, marketing, consulting, or related fields, preferably within the retail or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, digital marketing strategies, and market research techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
