Job description

Experience in handling Automation and Power projects comprising of Erection & commissioning in Steel Hot Rolling Mill.

1. Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify faults and implement corrective measures promptly.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installation and repair tasks effectively.
3. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement electrical system upgrades and improvements.
4. Document all maintenance activities and report deficiencies or potential hazards clearly and concisely.
5. Manage inventory of electrical supplies and tools, ensuring all necessary materials are available for repairs.
6. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations while working in residential and industrial environments.
7. Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and apprentices in efficient electrical practices.
8. Assist in project planning and execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met without compromising quality.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Experience in handling Automation and Power projects, comprising of Erection & commissioning in Steel Hot Rolling Mill.
2. Experience in handling complete instrumentation / automation systems involved in Water Complex / Water Treatment Plant.
3. Knowledge of wiring and termination for PLC/DCS systems with a clear understanding of electrical power and control drawings.
4. Ability to carry out activities of basic and detailed engineering of automation systems, including hardware and application programming.
5. Hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA, RTU, DCS systems.
6. Strong communication, collaboration, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
7. Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance.
8. Skills in equipment inspection, monitoring, and reporting.
9. Proficiency in handling electrical testing equipment such as Meggers, multimeters, tong testers, and instrument simulators.
