Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for contributing towards the attainment of the regional budget in a complex Region. Has budget accountability for Operational Area, Market Sector, or Project / Program Portfolio.
- Consolidates information from collaborative work across multi-discipline projects with others at similar levels in different parts of the Region.
- Influences the development of the Business Group's business plan.
- Provides direction to Project Managers, Team Leaders, and stakeholders to ensure successful project or program delivery.
- Holds accountability for the time, cost, and quality performance of projects and programs.
- Manages functional or operational areas, processes, or programs within a complex Region, possibly including dotted-line management.
- Implements and improves operating policies, processes, and procedures, drawing on knowledge of legislative requirements, global standards, and delegated authorities in a highly regulated environment.
- Consolidates and prioritizes solutions across projects and clients for regional and broader benefits.
- Approves the application of new solutions, technologies, and designs to address complex problems and market trends.
- Utilizes knowledge of expertise and global standards to solve unprecedented and complex issues.
- Acts as Technical Lead for high-profile or complex projects, overseeing all phases.
- Serves as a trusted advisor within GHD and to external clients and industry bodies.
- Manages team performance, resources, training, development, employee engagement, and staffing decisions.
- Communicates project or program strategy and goals to teams, partners, and stakeholders.
- Works independently, guided by organization strategies and regional business plans, with guidance from senior management in complex situations.
Technical Skills and Experience Required
- 20 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE preferred.
- Professional registrations such as CIOB, RICS, or CIBSE are preferred.
- Degree in Built Environment or related fields preferred.
- Experience in both pre and post-contract areas of property and building projects, preferably in consultancy roles.
- Experience managing a major project portfolio covering construction management and multi-disciplinary design.
