Job Description

Jw Turner Contracting LLC, an affiliate of Paris Group, is an in-house provider of high-quality fit-out and maintenance services, specializing in retail and hospitality projects. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional results by ensuring that every detail of the project is meticulously planned and executed.

We are looking for an experienced, creative and visionary Design Manager to lead the design and delivery of retail store interiors across our expanding portfolio in the UAE and the GCC. This position requires a leader with strong architectural and design sensibility, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of international luxury design trends, construction practices, and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in enhancing customer experience through innovative, functional, and brand-aligned retail environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end architectural design process for new retail store builds —conceptual development, schematic design, and detailed design phases.
• Translate brand identity into compelling interior design concepts that balance aesthetics, function, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, VM, merchandising, marketing, procurement, and construction) to deliver cohesive, brand-consistent retail spaces.
• Manage and coordinate external consultants, architects, designers, and contractors throughout the design and fit-out lifecycle.
• Conduct site assessments, evaluate existing conditions, and create fit-out strategies tailored to site constraints.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, civil defense, and other relevant authorities (Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakbhees, etc.).
• Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards, and updating senior management/VP on project status.
• Approve design documentation, finish materials, fixture plans, and shop drawings.
• Maintain and update brand design guidelines for store layouts and finishes.
• Support sustainability goals by integrating environmentally conscious design practices and materials where possible.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio of retail or commercial interior design to delivery projects. Experience working with international retail brands or franchise operators is an advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a design leadership or managerial role.
• Experience with retail design in the GCC/UAE market is a must.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction regulations, permitting processes, and local authority requirements.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of local and international materials, finishes, and fit-out standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
