Job description

Synopsis: Inventory Planner is responsible for performing planning and coordination activities for materials (aircraft spares, Cabin & BFE, IFE, Tools) required to support both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, in the most cost-effective manner.

Accountabilities
  1. Review part forecast for A & C Check, re-order proposals, engineering documents, hard time & tool staggering.
  2. Initiate procurement requests to ensure spares availability at optimal cost.
  3. Review consumables and set re-order levels and quantities to maintain service levels and reasonable inventory costs.
  4. Evaluate and monitor float levels for all rotable spare parts using Poisson's calculations.
  5. Monitor fleet defects and initiate steps to reduce them.
  6. Implement stocking methods such as pool inclusion, consignment stock allocations, and identify surplus for disposal.
  7. Evaluate and monitor LMP and LRU RSPL for initial, additional, and continuous provisioning.
  8. Review and monitor shelf-life expiry items and scrap transactions in ERP, initiating replenishment with justification.
  9. Monitor discrepancies in spares and coordinate with teams to resolve them.
  10. Support aircraft induction, return to service, and end-of-lease projects.
  11. Assist in developing, updating, and ensuring compliance of departmental manuals and processes with regulators and organizational standards.
  12. Support projects assigned by the Manager of Materials Planning to meet departmental goals.
Education & Experience

Bachelor's or equivalent technical degree, or a minimum of 3 years' experience in aviation inventory management.

Experience in aircraft technical material planning, procurement, and supplier management.

Familiarity with technical manuals such as IPC, ITEM, MPD, RSPLs, W-File, spare repair, warranty, OEM support contracts like SSC and PSAA, and lease return requirements is recommended.

A self-motivated, enthusiastic team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working under pressure in multicultural environments.

Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, with excellent communication skills in written and verbal English.
