Synopsis

This role involves providing the line manager, the SM FBP, the VP of Financial Planning and Strategy, and relevant business stakeholders with financial data, tools, analyses, and insights to support informed decision-making and strategic initiatives. The role requires partnering with Business and Finance teams, analyzing financial performance against targets, and supporting process and tool improvements.

The position demands a deep understanding of costs within the assigned business areas and associated tools and processes. It includes supporting stakeholders in understanding these costs and building trust-based relationships with officers or managers in the portfolio.

Accountabilities

• Analyze the financial performance of the department, and prepare summaries, commentaries, and presentations.
• Analyze large volumes of financial data to extract relevant information for reporting and decision-making.
• Generate and distribute monthly management reporting packs.
• Consolidate operational data to estimate full-year results.
• Participate in the preparation and finalization of the annual budget, including data consolidation, presentation preparation, and posting budget journals.
• Conduct regular analysis of Business KPIs for monthly reporting.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Progress towards a professional finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a financial analyst or in related financial systems and reporting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
• Experience with SAP and other accounting systems.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are advantageous.
• Preference for candidates with airline industry experience.
