Head of Supply Chain Optimisation – Leading Retail Group – UAE

Role : Head of Supply Chain Optimisation

Salary : 40,000 AED per month, Fully Expensed Car and Relocation Package

Contract : 12 month rolling contract

My client is a well-established retail group who are a leading presence across the Middle and Far East. They have a fantastic reputation and exciting growth plans.

They are currently seeking a Head of Supply Chain Optimisation to join their team. The successful Head of Supply Chain Optimisation will be responsible for building and implementing strategies to reduce costs within their supply chain. They are looking for candidates with a background in blue chip retailers and FMCG businesses.

Successful candidates will be willing to relocate and have a professional and patient approach.

Responsibilities include :

• Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain optimisation strategies aligned with business objectives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Operational Excellence : Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, production, inventory management, logistics, and distribution, ensuring seamless and cost-effective operations.
• Team Management : Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of supply chain professionals across multiple regions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Data-Driven Decision Making : Utilise advanced analytics and technology to monitor supply chain performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven solutions for optimisation.
• Supplier Relationships : Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality products.
• Risk Management : Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop robust mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Sustainability : Champion sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, promoting environmentally friendly practices and reducing the company's carbon footprint.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, sales, and marketing teams, to align supply chain activities with overall business goals and customer demands.

The Ideal Head of Supply Chain Optimisation Candidate :

• Qualified in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, within a FMCG environment.
• Proven track record of successfully leading supply chain optimisation initiatives and driving operational improvements.
• Must have Lean supply chain and Linked Capabilities experience.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
