Our client is a fast-growing coffee brand operating across retail, roasting, and trading divisions. With a focus on quality, innovation, and regional expansion, they are building a vertically integrated business that delivers exceptional coffee experiences from bean to cup.

Why This Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Trading Specialist to manage and drive trading activities across the coffee retail segment, roasting operations, and the trading arm. This role is critical in executing trades, managing supplier and buyer relationships, and ensuring procurement and supply chain efficiency across both local and international markets.

Education & Certifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

- Professional certifications such as CIPS or CITP are an advantage

Experience

- 5-7 years of relevant experience in commodity or product trading

- Coffee trade/industry experience is a must

- Demonstrated experience in international sourcing, negotiating supply contracts, and managing trade documentation

- Prior exposure to trading in MENA, Africa, or LATAM regions is a plus

Technical & Functional Competencies

- Strong understanding of international trade laws, INCOTERMS, export/import regulations, and payment terms (LCs, CAD, etc.)

- Proficient in ERP systems and trade management platforms

- Solid analytical capabilities in evaluating supplier proposals, forecasting demand, and pricing strategies

- Able to manage and track end-to-end trade cycles from procurement to delivery

- Effective communicator capable of negotiating and building long-term relationships with suppliers, buyers, and third-party providers

- Capable of collaborating across departments, including finance, logistics, and legal

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple trade transactions simultaneously

- Data-driven with the ability to generate trade performance reports, analyze trends, and suggest improvements

Travel Requirement

- Occasional travel to sourcing regions and to meet with suppliers may be required.
