Our Procurement & Logistics group focuses on aircraft services as well as general services. They negotiate and manage contracts with third-party suppliers and find ways to mitigate costs. Procurements and Logistics Specialist

The role involves supervising and supporting a team of procurement professionals to ensure best practices in Customer Relationship Management and Supplier Relationship Management are implemented during procurement. The responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating for complex, high-value commodities and services to achieve value for money at the lowest total cost of ownership and optimal competitive positioning, following best procurement and logistics practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. PSS (Procurement Support System)
  2. Monitor supplier compliance with contracts, generate reports, and ensure Emirates' adherence to contractual commitments.
  3. Manage the contract library and document access, maintaining consistent record retention and shared repositories with suppliers.
  4. Facilitate resolution of contractual issues to minimize service disruptions, coordinating reviews with legal, finance, and other departments.
  5. Support the implementation of procurement strategies to minimize costs and maximize value.
  6. Supervise sourcing, pre-qualification, and evaluation of suppliers, advising on suitable commodities and services.
  7. Authorize supply orders and contracts up to AED 10,000; analyze and prepare reports for higher-value contracts.
  8. Develop tender documents, coordinate cross-functional teams, and issue tenders to obtain competitive quotations.
  9. Lead negotiations on commercial and operational terms, finalize contractual documentation, and review with management.
  10. Mitigate commercial risks associated with procurement activities.
  11. Conduct feasibility studies to optimize resource utilization.
  12. Implement CRM/SRM programs to enhance customer satisfaction and foster supplier development.
  13. Review activity and performance reports to ensure operational efficiency and identify areas for intervention.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Honours with 3+ years experience in non-aircraft procurement.
  • Preferred international qualifications: MCIPS, CIPS, CPP, CSMP, CPSM, IPSCMI, or equivalent.
  • Degree in Procurement, Finance, Engineering, MBA, or related fields, with relevant certifications depending on grade.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Expertise in supplier sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation.
  • Experience supervising major capital acquisitions and service tenders.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
