Handyman

Job Responsibilities:

• Carry out repairs and maintenance within the accommodation, including furniture, equipment, piping, polishing works, swimming pool, electrical systems, walls, floors, or any other items as directed.
• Assist the Accommodation Supervisor with any room moves.
• Perform minor repairs to wall plaster and renderings cracks in preparation for painting.
• Conduct paintwork on interior and exterior building walls.
• Assist in the preparation of check-in and check-out, including cleaning of the premises when required.
• Support the Accommodation Supervisor with various follow-ups and inspections.
• Assist the Accommodation Supervisor with responsibilities in helping the employees of Sofitel Dubai The Palm.
• Be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and observe these meticulously at all times.
• Assist the accommodation team with various duties.
• Supervise the casual cleaner in the absence of the Supervisor.
• Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
• Report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and name tag, and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, adhering to the hotel and department appearance standards.

Qualifications:

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, repair, construction, or similar work.
• Knowledge of construction, plumbing, and electrical systems.
