Job Description

Accountable for recommending, planning, designing, and implementing all necessary security controls to protect Etisalat's infrastructure services. This involves reviewing design documentation in line with Etisalat's security practices and guidelines. The scope includes services such as 5G, 4G, 3G, MPLS, Internet, Cloud, NFVi, SDN, Data Centers, IoT, and IPTV. The SME will also support, coordinate, and conduct quarterly risk assessments of these services following Etisalat's risk management approach. Engagement with multiple stakeholders and service owners is required for these tasks. Additionally, the SME provides professional guidance and support to subordinates where applicable.

Responsibilities

1. Deep understanding of security architecture, design best practices, processes, risk assessment, planning, project management, documentation, and presentation.
2. Ability to conduct risk assessments of services, identifying threats, threat actors, vulnerabilities, and impacts.
3. Perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify issues and track them via risk management methodologies.
4. Develop, support, and apply a risk management framework in projects.
5. Conduct security gap analyses across projects, applications, and vendors, documenting remediation plans.
6. Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and related security requirements.
7. In-depth technical knowledge of core telecom and infrastructure networks including 5G, 4G, 3G, MPLS, Internet, Cloud, NFVi, SDN, Data Centers, IoT, and IPTV.
8. Preferably experience in a telecom environment.
9. Hands-on experience in developing policies, standards, and guidelines for telecom and IT services.
10. Knowledge of telecom and IT standards such as ITU, ETSI, ISO, SIA, etc.
11. Design and practical experience with various information security products.
12. Experience in identifying and implementing security controls for telecom, cloud, and IT services.
13. Knowledge of emerging technologies like IoT, Big Data, SDN, NFVi, Blockchain, and security tools using AI and machine learning.
14. Familiarity with vulnerability assessment and auditing tools.
15. Hands-on knowledge of security OEM technologies such as GRC, UTM, IPS/IDS, WAF, SIEM, IAM, PAM, DDoS, AEP, etc.
16. Provide expert advice and support for infrastructure modernization and service projects.
17. Create security guidelines for services like Mobile, IoT, and Cloud.
18. Manage security vendors from selection through ongoing operations.
19. Author RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and liaise with vendors to ensure optimal technical and financial outcomes.
20. Maintain good documentation and presentation skills.
21. Hold relevant information security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, GRC, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
