Job summary

A leading company in the construction and civil engineering sector is seeking a Senior HR Cum Accounts Executive. The role involves supporting HR and accounts operations, managing payroll, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulations. Candidates should have a postgraduate degree in HR and significant experience in the UAE market. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job description

Job Title: Senior HR Cum Accounts Executive

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate in HR and from a Commerce background.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE, with at least 3 years hands-on experience in payroll and HR.
  • Knowledge of UAE HR regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Tally, and ERP applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Resilient with attention to detail, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and a strong drive to succeed.
  • Good proficiency in English is an advantage.
  • Must be currently in UAE and able to start within 1 month.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Managing Director in HR and Accounts matters, including but not limited to:
  • Handling payroll for less than 30 employees, including office staff and workers.
  • Managing benefits, claims, and reimbursements through payroll.
  • Ensuring VAT submission as per FTA regulations.
  • Applying for and renewing work permits and employment passes.
  • Maintaining proper filing and documentation.
  • Handling inquiries from tax authorities and auditors regarding payroll.
  • Assisting in sourcing and coordinating employee training and development programs.
  • Completing ad hoc assignments such as MOM surveys as directed by the MD.
  • Managing accounting responsibilities, including Accounts Payable data entry, intercompany and bank reconciliations, invoice preparation, and VAT submissions.
