Role: Responsible for optimizing and developing the Travel Retail business, supporting the day to day running of the department, through communication with external partners and various teams within the business such as Marketing, Logistics, Finance and Brand Management.
Account Coordination
- Build rapport and maintain relationships with retailers
- Ensure VM standards are respected and stock availability is aligned with current planogram
- Ensure brand Visuals are relevant and up-to-date
- Coordinate with Training department to provide appropriate trainings to business partners
- Monitor and follow up retailers payments
- Ensure all accounts have sufficient time to place orders, with the correct information needed, and collate orders to check with Travel Retail Coordinator and Brand Managers
- Maintain healthy SOH (stock on hand) in all accounts through quarterly review of stock
- Recommend ageing stock liquidation when required
- Liaise with Brand Managers and relevant teams to process any aftersales and/or repair queries
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly sales reporting Managing allocation/shipping/budget analysis through formal reporting.
Sales Coordination
- Monitor & consolidate reports and analysis for sell-in, sell-out, sell-through
- Monitor & consolidate inventory in the market
- Lead backorders & Novelties orders
- Conduct competition analysis and trend including trade marketing
Operations & Logistics Coordination
- Deliver monthly sales projections with clear visibility of planned deliveries
- Ensure delivery of budgeted sales and agreed objectives across all channels; Ground and Inflight
- Analysis of stock & sales for all Duty Free & Inflight business
- Resupply/replenishment proposals - work with Travel Retail Coordinator/Brand Teams for new and in-season stock proposals for all accounts
- Create and issue new Purchase Orders to accounts demonstrating an exemplary level of accuracy
- Ensure Order Confirmations are sent to accounts in timely manner and follow up on any discrepancies, cancellations or change of products
- Make sure problems and issues are tackled in a timely manner, liaising with Management and the relevant key contacts to ensure that the best solutions are being offered
- Liaise with internal Training team and external accounts to run monthly training sessions for in-store staff
- Ensure accounts budgets are met each month; attend bi-weekly sell-in meetings with ready sell-in estimates
- Operate within KPI's and Travel Retail strategy set by senior management.
Marketing
- Plan, develop and execute key promotional initiatives with Travel Retail Manager for each specific account, location, brand and category
- Meet with Marketing monthly to plan brand and account promotion plans based on monthly budgets and sales, and ensure timely execution of each initiative.
- E-Commerce Upload and maintain product assets in relevant account portals
- Manage levels of expenditure on POS materials as agreed with finance.
Reporting
- Reconcile statements with finance department, checking credit notes and outstanding payments
- Gatekeeper for Travel Retail Sales Tracker, Sales & Stock (Sell-in/Sell-out) reports
- Report marketing spends on a monthly basis
- Stock control and management through PowerBI/BC reports and interdepartmental documents.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience of working with large key accounts
- Should have at least 4 - 5 years of work experience in Sales the field of Travel Retail, preferably in Watches & Eyewear within the Lifestyle and Fashion sector
- Proven experience of working in UAE/GCC
- Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent IT skills (familiar with PowerBI, BC and Excel)
- Confident person who can collaborate in a team-based environment
- Highly organized person who is resourceful would thrive in this role
