Job Description: Front Desk Manager

Manage all front desk operations ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, regulations, and standards set by hotel management. Oversee smooth and professional front desk functions at all times. Perform all front desk and duty manager responsibilities as assigned. Set clear expectations for front desk agents to prioritize their responsibilities. Serve as BSA Champion for the Front Office Department. Ensure comprehensive training for all front desk staff, including on-the-job, off-the-job, and short sessions.

  • Full-time position at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai.
  • Direct Reports: 2 (Front Desk Agent/Team Leader & Supervisor)
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role within a high-volume 4 or 5-star hotel.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Innovative, problem-solving, complaint handling
  • Leadership, coaching, training
  • Multi-tasking, organizational, time management
  • Proficiency in Opera, Marsha, IMS, GXP, Microsoft Office, and other systems

Education or Certification:

  • Good command of English
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understand hotel services, hours, promotions, and products.
  • Maintain knowledge of Marriott standards and Dubai local area.
  • Monitor house count and respond to shifts accordingly.
  • Ensure effective communication and guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise guest check-in/out, account handling, and departmental coordination.
  • Supervise compliance with credit policies and promote Marriott Rewards.
  • Manage guest requests, profiles, and emergency procedures.
  • Support staff development, empowerment, and shift flexibility.
  • Address guest issues promptly and professionally.
  • Follow policies, confidentiality, grooming, and security protocols.
  • Engage in guest relations, communication, teamwork, and quality assurance.
  • Perform physical tasks as needed and comply with working hours.
