Whats the role

The Senior Specialist Project Transactions plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day accounting and controlling of projects, as well as the associated accounts payable, capital expenditures, and accounts receivable transactions. This position requires a detail-oriented partner to assist the project controlling team in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Other responsibilities include:

  • Timely processing of client and vendor invoices while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Participating in discussions with project managers and FP&A team regarding project budgets and expenditures
  • Ensuring all capital projects are properly documented and accounted for according to company policy
  • Performing monthly closing activities
  • Collecting accounts receivable balances from customers and minimizing outstanding receivables
  • Preparing financial statements under local GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Accounting for prepayments, accruals, and financing activities
  • Improving internal reports and analysis to help management understand key events and trends in CAPEX and expenses
  • Monitoring and analyzing expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to budget constraints
Requirements
Who are we looking for
  • Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent qualification
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting transactions and operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Self-starter with solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in a multinational company is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Knowledge of Dynamics365 is a plus
