About Our Client

As part of their strategic growth plans, the company is seeking a Global Business Development Director to lead the commercial expansion of its licensable IP and platform technologies across international markets.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute the company's global business development strategy , focusing on IP licensing, strategic partnerships, and new market penetration.
  • Lead complex commercial engagements with semiconductor manufacturers, foundries, design houses, and OEMs across North America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Identify, structure, and negotiate licensing agreements, joint ventures, and technology collaborations aligned with the company's long-term roadmap.
  • Act as a key commercial interface between engineering, product development, and executive leadership to shape go-to-market strategies based on customer needs and technological capabilities.
  • Establish and grow a high-quality global customer pipeline, leveraging market intelligence, competitor analysis, and industry insights.
  • Represent the company at major industry forums, customer events, and investor briefings, positioning the brand as a leader in SoC innovation.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong technical background (e.g., degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar), with deep knowledge of SoC architecture, semiconductor design, and manufacturing processes .
  • Minimum 10+ years of business development, strategic sales, or commercial leadership experience in the semiconductor industry , preferably with IP / licensing-based business models.
  • Proven ability to close high-value licensing deals and develop long-term strategic relationships with Tier 1 clients.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a global mindset.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
