Job description

Job Title: Library and Media Assistant Manager

Info Arab Media FZ-LLC / Al Mashhad is seeking a Library and Media Assistant Manager to join our existing Technology Team at the headquarters in Dubai, UAE. The role involves managing Media Services functions related to IP Contributions feeds in NOC-MCR, Tape Library, and Storage media management with cloud storage integration within the TV Channel workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing and supervising content contributions for programs and news-related content.
  2. Supporting bespoke broadcast-focused applications.
  3. Managing the cataloguing, storing, and optimizing of all internal/external program assets and news agency assets.
  4. Ensuring efficient digital workflow management to optimize TV Channel operations.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of IP Technologies, Video codecs, formats, MCR functions, File workflow, LTO Tape library, and storage management.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues in Broadcast Software Operations environments.
  • Managing Media/Library specialists to monitor content delivery across platforms including web, social media, and TV transmission.
  • Ability to identify and resolve network/customer faults and outages, supporting NOC operations.
  • Proficiency in internal databases, systems, and documentation processes.
  • Applications experience in Multicast, Video Codecs, bandwidth, IPTV, NAS Systems, TCP, and UDP content transfer over IP networks.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in metadata management and media asset management systems (MAM).
  • Experience in Broadcast Media Operations and managing digital assets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or related field.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.

This role requires working in a high-pressure, 24-hour news environment with varied and challenging support requirements.
