The floor manager will oversee various activities on the floor, focusing on enhancing customer satisfaction through the quality of products and services provided to guests. Their aim will be to increase table turnover to optimize outlet profitability, ensure adherence to all sales strategies and company SOPs, and enhance sales while maintaining a high-quality dining experience.
Job Description:
Manage floor staff workforce, ensuring that guest area is smoothly covered as per shift & work schedule.
Assist in scheduling reservations or special events.
Ensure that all aspects are communicated to the culinary team and all employees.
Greet and interact with customers to ensure a positive dining experience.
Organize all documentation for daily shifts including briefings, pre-shift reports, daily training topics, floor service plan, and update the staff with all new rules and circulars.
Liaise between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure cohesive operations.
Ensure that all staff members are consistently meeting established service standards.
Monitor and test service skills of staff, retrain and reinforce all standards on food, quality, and sequence of service.
Conduct training sessions for all the staff members to maintain high service standards.
Train new employees and provide ongoing training for existing staff to ensure high standards of service.
Record all guest comments, complaints, or feedback to finalize the weak points of service and work to enhance customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and appropriately arranged before service begins.
Report any issues or grievances to the restaurant Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Presentable, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Hard worker, teamwork player, flexible work under pressure.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to motivate others as well.
