Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to deliver civil and structural design calculations and drawings within stipulated timelines
- Conduct analyses such as In-place, Preservice, Spectral Fatigue, Seismic, Pushover, and Jacket Mating for Fixed Platform structures, including offshore structures under various conditions
- Guide engineers on secondary/miscellaneous calculations and assist designers with detailing and drawings
- Prepare specifications for design basis reports and soil investigations in line with project requirements
- Optimize layouts and general arrangements through cross-functional teamwork, resolving interference issues
- Coordinate with other departments, project teams, and site teams for input on civil and structural drawings before client submission
- Engage in technical discussions with subcontractors and consultants for review and approval of drawings and calculations
- Utilize industry software such as 3D Model Review Tools (SPR & Navis Works), MS Office Suite, etc.
- Review geotechnical reports and interpret soil parameters for foundation design
- Participate in project coordination meetings to resolve technical issues and prioritize engineering activities
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor bids for compliance with specifications and scope
- Conduct site visits to resolve construction issues and discrepancies with issued drawings
- Provide pre-bid engineering support by calculating architectural, civil, and structural BOQs

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university, with at least 15+ years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including a minimum of 5 years in the GCC region
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role managing teams of engineers and designers in large Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
- Offshore experience is essential; ADNOC experience is advantageous
- Proficiency in structural software such as SACS, STAAD Pro, FEM software like ANSYS & FEMAP, review tools like TEKLA & NAVIS, and mathematical tools like Mathcad and MS Excel
- Familiarity with international codes and standards including API, AISC, ISO, EN1993, BS, ABS, and DNVGL, as well as ADNOC standards
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with multidisciplinary and multinational teams
- Previous experience working in the Middle East is a plus
