Job description

Assist in ensuring that department employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.

Ensure that employees also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.

Handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries courteously and efficiently, following through to ensure problems are satisfactorily resolved.

Maintain positive interactions with guests and colleagues, fostering good working relationships.

Maximize employee productivity through multi-skilling, multi-tasking, and flexible scheduling to meet financial goals and guest expectations.

Focus on improving productivity levels and managing utility and payroll costs prudently, ensuring optimal deployment and energy efficiency of equipment.

Operational Supervision
  • Supervise lifeguard operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of lifeguard performance and safety procedures.
  • Organize and conduct training for lifeguards to maintain high safety and service standards.
  • Manage lifeguard rotations and schedules for adequate coverage.
  • Monitor lifeguard welfare, providing support and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure lifeguards are prepared to respond to emergencies and provide excellent guest service.
Equipment Management
  • Oversee the distribution, collection, and storage of tubes, ensuring they are in good condition and conducting repairs as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of tubes and repair supplies.
  • Manage the distribution, collection, and storage of life jackets, ensuring they are clean, in good condition, and properly sized.
  • Maintain an inventory of life jackets and ensure adequate supplies are available.
Personnel Supervision
  • Supervise department employees, ensuring duties are performed according to policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Oversee punctuality, appearance, and hygiene standards.
  • Develop employee skills through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Assist in training employees to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Ensure service standards are maintained as per the Departmental Operations Manual.
  • Support the implementation of The People Brand, demonstrating and reinforcing the park's values and culture.
  • Ensure adherence to employee rules, safety, and security policies.
Other Duties
  • Adhere to Rules & Regulations and safety policies.
  • Report punctually, wearing the correct uniform and nametag.
  • Maintain high personal appearance and hygiene standards.
  • Foster good relationships with staff across departments.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and related activities.
  • Support departmental trainers and undertake secondary duties as assigned.
  • Respond to departmental changes as required.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and exercise self-control.
  • Understand the Department Operations Manual and policies.
Occasional Duties
  • Assist with quarterly, bi-yearly, and yearly inventory of equipment.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of 2+ years of experience utilizing the Ellis & Associates Program or similar, including front-line lifeguard and supervisory roles. Operational experience supervising lifeguards, preferably in the UAE or GCC. Practical experience in waterpark operations, including administration, training, operations, and risk management. High proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, including data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
