Job Description: Product Manager Chemicals Cleaning
The Product Manager Chemicals Cleaning will report to the Head of Product Management Cleaning and collaborate with the product team to ensure optimal customer and market fit. The role also involves working closely with Procurement, Inventory, Technical Sales, Digital, and Pricing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Managing Product Lifecycle: Oversee the lifecycle of Cleaning products from conceptualization to phase-outs, maintaining a competitive portfolio.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Lead technical aspects of supplier relationships, including product development and performance monitoring, collaborating with procurement on commercial aspects and supply chain resilience.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the product pipeline to identify future needs and opportunities, ensuring proactive product development.
- Upskilling Program Development: Develop concise upskilling programs for sales, customer service, and operations teams to enhance their ability to sell Cleaning products effectively.
- Competitive Analysis and Brand Management: Monitor the competitive landscape, protect and grow market share, and manage product branding and pricing in coordination with other functions.
- Budgeting and Business Reviews: Contribute to budgeting processes and participate in monthly business reviews to optimize the potential of Cleaning solutions in collaboration with Technical Operations.
- Promotion and Representation: Present and promote products at conferences, customer events, and exhibitions to position the company as a market leader both technically and commercially.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
- Product Specification and Development: Create and specify product requirements for suppliers and drive continuous technical development to meet evolving customer needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with asset teams, procurement, and operations to improve product offerings, service levels, and availability.
- Innovative Mindset: Embrace a forward-leaning attitude, utilizing technology and digital opportunities to identify market potential and drive product development improvements.
- Support Sales Activities: Assist Technical Sales Managers in setting sales targets, forecasts, and optimizing stock availability to boost sales activities.
- Inventory Management: Develop inventory policies, review logistics costs, inventory turnover, availability, and service levels with the Category Demand Planner.
- Technical and Operational Requirements: Define technical, operational, and user requirements for digital and technical teams to enhance solutions and customer service.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in chemistry, engineering, technical studies, or business administration.
- At least 3 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in the maritime industry.
- Proficiency in English.
