Job description

JOB CONTENT
Responsible for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. Support Manager in preparing budgets and rolling forecasts, loading and unloading of costs and expenses to correct projects/jobs, participate in the audit program to facilitate the finalization of financial statements, inventory management, costing and finance projects reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Costing and pricing
  2. Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components.
  3. Stay abreast of best cost matrices and trends in the packaging industry and advise management accordingly.
  4. Price and cost new and existing products; submit for review by GM and FM.
  5. Manage price revision cycle to ensure timely and accurate updates.
  6. Coordinate closely with project managers and sales teams.

Portfolio management

  1. Monitor key customer/product profitability and analyze for profit improvement opportunities.
  2. Track value generated by Cost Improvement & Value Generation activities; identify opportunities and leakages.
  3. Develop tools and processes to maintain account profitability and reflect cost variations in price lists.
  4. Conduct product and customer portfolio analysis; support portfolio optimization and key account reviews.
  5. Prepare Capex investment assessments aligned with company KPIs.

Process continuous improvement

  1. Support commercial and finance teams in process improvements and ERP system utilization.
  2. Present ideas for process enhancements to improve response times and accuracy.
  3. Oversee IT-driven projects, ensuring standards and best practices are followed.
  4. Assess and improve existing procedures for efficiency and value.
  5. Develop and educate staff on best practices for portfolio/project management.
  6. Ensure documentation and records are maintained for traceability and compliance with ISO and management procedures.
  7. Lead budgeting and forecasting processes from a commercial perspective.

Management reports

  1. Prepare financial analyses related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expenses.
  2. Analyze design, raw materials, and manufacturing changes for cost impacts.
  3. Provide management with reports on costs, prices, and profitability factors.
  4. Maintain databases and update performance metrics regularly.
  5. Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders; develop executive presentations.
  6. Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, Food Safety, and Environmental standards as per QHSE System, ISO, and local regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (mandatory).
Professional certification in Cost Accounting (preferred).

Experience

6-8 years in costing, variance analysis, product costing, budgeting, inventory management in manufacturing or production environments. Project management experience is highly desirable.

Skills & Knowledge

Knowledge of cost accounting principles, IFRS standards, manufacturing processes, workflows, and cost drivers.
Proficiency with ERP, CRM, MS Excel, and project management tools.
Strong analytical, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Understanding of compliance and internal controls.
