Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily audit of all financial transactions, including revenues, receipts, and deposits from various hotel revenue centers (rooms, F&B outlets, events, etc.).
- Verify the accuracy of revenue records by cross-referencing data from point-of-sale systems, bank statements, and accounting records.
- Reconcile revenue accounts and investigate discrepancies or irregularities in financial documentation.
- Prepare daily income audit reports and share findings with management and relevant department heads.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions and audit documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of journal vouchers related to income and rebates.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and address revenue recognition issues.
- Provide support during external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices related to income auditing.
- Perform additional secretarial and administrative duties as required.
- Assist in preparing and distributing daily revenue and statistical reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in hotel accounting, finance, or auditing roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software, property management systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and hotel industry operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High degree of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
