The Plumbing Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of water supply and drainage systems in commercial and residential facilities. The role involves troubleshooting issues, ensuring water systems function effectively, and responding promptly to service requests. The technician must ensure all work meets safety and plumbing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Repairs:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, water heaters, and drainage systems.
• Unclog drains, replace faulty faucets, and repair water leaks or burst pipes.

Preventive Maintenance:

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Identify wear and tear and recommend proactive replacements or repairs.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

• Diagnose plumbing issues using testing tools and techniques.
• Determine root causes and implement corrective actions efficiently.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all plumbing works comply with local codes, health regulations, and safety protocols.
• Use appropriate tools and PPE in line with safety standards.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other maintenance staff such as electricians and HVAC technicians during facility upkeep or renovations.
• Provide updates to supervisors on work progress and any major issues.

Documentation:

• Maintain records of work completed, materials used, and any follow-up required.
• Assist in reporting inventory needs and equipment faults.
