Job description

Role

To source Covered Card Applications from the local market, ensuring that business sourcing aligns with ADIB's permitted policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities of the role
Main Responsibilities
  1. Source new-to-bank covered card products targeting specific segments and achieve or exceed assigned targets.
  2. Prepare and maintain the Daily Sales Report (DSR) for all customer visits and company interactions.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with all business entities and individuals from whom business is sourced.
  4. Visit potential companies and institutions to finalize deals within targeted turnaround times, adhering to ADIB policies and procedures, and provide feedback to RSS.
  5. Maintain comprehensive product knowledge and apply it consistently.
  6. Provide prompt and timely service to customers.
  7. Adhere to office timings, uphold confidentiality, and present oneself professionally.
  8. Submit the DSR to the respective team leader by the end of each day with complete details; non-compliance will be escalated.
Regular / Occasional Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and review Standard Credit Applications, ensuring all information and critical documents (such as bank statements, passports, Emirates IDs, salary certificates) are accurate and authentic.
  2. Ensure error-free application submissions and rectify errors as needed.
  3. Follow the approval process and escalate delays to RSS/Coordinator.
  4. Execute Murabaha contracts with customers, prepare files as per checklists, and forward card issuance requests within 24 hours after signing formalities.
  5. Monitor card disbursement and notify relevant parties of any delays.
  6. Maintain good inter-departmental relationships to ensure smooth business flow.
  7. Participate in promotional activities assigned by line managers or RSS.
  8. Initiate cross-selling of other banking products on a best-efforts basis when required.
  9. Immediately escalate customer complaints to supervisors if any arise.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge
  • Broad knowledge of ADIB's covered card and other RBG products and services.
  • Fair knowledge of service standards, sales skills, and computer literacy.
  • Good understanding of UAE banking practices, regulations, and associated risks.
  • General awareness of competitors in the local market.
