The Operations Supervisor – Manufacturing oversees daily production activities, ensuring manufacturing processes are efficient, safe, and compliant with quality standards. This role manages shop floor teams, monitors production schedules, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. Operating within a UAE-based industrial or factory environment, the supervisor ensures adherence to local labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies while meeting output targets and maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets, deadlines, and quality standards.
2. Coordinate workflow and resources across production lines, ensuring optimal use of manpower and equipment.
3. Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in line with UAE labor and industry laws.
4. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and support staff development.
5. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
6. Ensure accurate documentation of production data, shift reports, and inventory usage.
7. Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
8. Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to lean manufacturing and cost reduction programs.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
2. 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
3. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and production planning.
4. Familiarity with UAE labor laws, safety standards, and manufacturing compliance regulations.
5. Proficiency in production management systems (ERP/MES) and MS Office tools.
6. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
7. Effective communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and production workers.
8. Ability to work in shifts and adapt to a fast-paced, high-output environment.
