We're seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Demi-chef De partie for the Pastry section to join our Back-of-house team in Isola Ristorante. Isola is a fine dining Italian restaurant located in Jumeirah islands Club. Isola Ristorante offers a relaxing experience in the sphere of all-day dining and drinking. A gastronomic escapade consisting of home-made pasta and Italian favorites, Isola offers a taste of modern classics with extensive wine selection sourced from the best wine producing regions in Italy. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality desserts and baked goods, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish.?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily preparation and production of all pastry items, including desserts, breads, and pastries.
  • Ensure all products are prepared and presented according to Isola's standards and recipes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and kitchen team to develop new dessert offerings.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a fine dining or Italian restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and dessert presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards of quality.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
