We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join our CT_Clean Fuels & Chemicals Licensing team in the United Arab Emirates.
You will be responsible for developing and expanding the Process Solution footprint in the Middle East market related to Sulzer's offerings on Equipment in the chemical separations and R&D segment. Your role involves building and nurturing business relationships through consultative selling, identifying, qualifying, and pursuing leads to create a pipeline.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Pipeline Management: Map opportunities across the Process Solution business, generate leads, and monitor the pipeline regularly.
- Customer Management: Collaborate with customer organizations to build long-term relationships, understand their buying behaviors, and contractual requirements.
- Account Management: Develop and own key customer plans and collaborate across Sulzer business units for collective success.
- Contractual Management: Understand legal terms, lead negotiations, and manage complex contracts to ensure timely closures.
- Business Strategy: Work with leadership to strategize and position Sulzer's offerings effectively for each opportunity.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate and timely updates in CRM for all opportunities, including pricing and approvals.
- Breakthrough Initiatives: Promote new Sulzer offerings within your territory.
- Proposal Management: Support opportunity development in response to RFQs, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Cross-Function Selling: Collaborate with other business units for cross-selling opportunities.
- Contractor Management: Build relationships with third-party contractors and consultants.
- Report Management: Prepare monthly reports on business activities.
- Professional Networking: Build a strong industry network with stakeholders.
Qualifications and skills needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant experience in Applications/Process Engineering or sales of related services and equipment.
- Prior sales experience in the Middle East is preferred.
- Ability to interpret customer technical requirements.
- Experience in industries such as specialty chemicals, refining, petrochemicals, bio-renewables, or polymers.
- Proficiency in proposal writing and evaluating business cases.
- Competence in using computers, including Word, Excel, and CRM software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Process technology experience is a plus.
- Experience working with multicultural teams.
- Understanding of key financial parameters of projects.
