Job Description

The Role

Manage engineering and facilities services supporting the hotel's core business. Focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing productivity while maintaining Mövenpick standards of quality and service. Responsible for the smooth, efficient, and economical operation of the Engineering department, including planning for investments, projects, and replacements annually.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with Accor standards and local regulations. Responsibilities include:

  • Engineering administration and facilities management
  • Preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Coordination with corporate engineering
  • Managing spare parts inventory
  • Safety and fire protocols

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

Planning & Organizing:

  • Coordinate procurement with finance
  • Manage spare parts stock levels
  • Implement preventive maintenance procedures
  • Prioritize workload and repairs
  • Plan annual preventive maintenance
  • Organize training programs and fire safety drills
  • Review staffing and leave plans to optimize service and satisfaction
  • Familiarize with operational standards

Operations

  • Adhere to fire, hygiene, health, and safety policies
  • Oversee technical installations (e.g., water, power, HVAC, pools, lighting)
  • Maintain professional appearance and knowledge of hotel services
  • Provide solutions for emergencies
  • Support team achievement of financial and service goals
  • Conduct technical training and supervise work quality
  • Investigate disputes and guest complaints
  • Supervise duties and contractor work
  • Lead daily and monthly engineering meetings
  • Manage equipment modifications and improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Administration

  • Proficiently use DynaWin system
  • Approve invoices post-completion
  • Generate monthly reports on maintenance activities and resource consumption
  • Monitor maintenance contracts and liaise with authorities and vendors

Hygiene, Safety, Environment, and Confidentiality

  • Care for equipment and furniture
  • Follow hotel policies and emergency procedures
  • Respect environmental commitments
  • Adhere to confidentiality policies

Qualifications
