HVAC Multi Technician tasks involve highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of building's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal operation at all times. The technician should possess knowledge and experience in providing excellent service in the field of MEP Technician and be responsible for the operation and maintenance of various equipment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Inspect HVAC systems and components (e.g., heating units, exhaust fans, ventilation units) to evaluate their condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance.
- Perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks alongside daily HVAC duties.
- Balance air and water treatment systems according to HVAC protocols.
- Design and implement HVAC systems as required, providing necessary input to the Line Manager.
- Understand and adhere to local building codes and authority regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, piping diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
- Install and repair pumps, motors, fan coils, and piping; perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication as needed.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform routine and preventive maintenance on rooftop units, energy recovery ventilation (ERV), heat recovery ventilation (HRV), and other HVAC systems.
- Responsible for start-up and commissioning of building automation systems.
- Maintain ventilation equipment through filter replacement, coil cleaning, and drive belt repairs.
- Repair and maintain hot water and electric heating systems.
- Assess whether parts or entire systems can be repaired or need replacement.
- Perform preventative and general maintenance tasks on HVAC systems.
- Address client requests and complaints courteously, escalating unresolved issues to supervisors or engineers.
- Operate measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments for MEP & HVAC systems.
- Maintain proper stock of parts, tools, and safety equipment, using materials judiciously.
- Follow RAKP Health and Safety policies, report hazards or incidents immediately.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager or Department Head.
Requisite Qualifications :
- Secondary School diploma or certificate, with HVAC system qualifications or similar.
Experience Requirement :
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in HVAC / MEP maintenance as a multi-technician.
Skill Sets :
- Proficient in using various maintenance tools (hand and power tools).
- Troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Analyze root causes of faults.
- Excellent understanding of HVAC-related work.
- Capable of fixing all issues or faults efficiently.
