The Budget & Cost Control Senior Specialist is responsible for estimating costs, setting an agreed budget, and managing actual and forecast costs against that budget. This role also supports the Department Manager in preparing reports and analysis for the CFO and key management, as required for ADNOC Global Trading (AGT).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Support development of a budget, yearly and Five-Year Business Plans: This includes gathering information, consolidation, reviewing discussions, calculations, and final processing to ensure compliance with corporate budget instructions, agreed timetable, and format.
- Support the design and implementation of annual rolling forecasts.
- Track intercompany agreements and ensure they are properly implemented; shared services are accurately invoiced.
- Support the implementation and design of operating expense allocation between offices and desks.
- Improve monthly management reports on costs and budget variances.
- Assist in budget control activities (approval of purchase orders, contracts, and reporting on budget consumption by agreement).
- Support the Department Manager in managing budgets based on authority levels and limits, taking necessary actions to control and reduce costs.
- Support month-end closing by ensuring all expenses and provisions are booked to appropriate accounts; provide journal entries where needed.
- Track projects and strategic initiatives; support business cases for complex investments and international offices.
- Support artificial intelligence initiatives and measurement of value creation.
- Support digitalization and AI efforts within the department through tools like Power BI.
- Be exceptionally well organized with an aptitude for data analysis.

- Be capable of generating budgets, reports, and cost allocation models.
- Have strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately.

- Possess advanced Power BI skills to develop dashboards, formulas, and databases.
- Experience with SAP S4 / HANA is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
- Bachelor's Degree in finance or a relevant field.
- Certified Chartered Accounting Qualification e.g., ACMA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 6+ years' experience in budgeting, business planning, and cost control functions.
