Job Description

The Junior Civil Engineer will assist in the planning, design, and supervision of construction and infrastructure projects across the UAE. This entry-level role supports senior engineers in site inspections, preparing technical drawings, analyzing survey reports, and ensuring project compliance with local regulations. The position offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, ideal for recent graduates aiming to grow in the construction and engineering industry.

Responsibilities

1. Assisting in the preparation of design layouts, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering projects.
2. Supporting senior engineers in reviewing project plans and ensuring compliance with UAE building codes and standards.
3. Participating in on-site inspections to monitor construction progress and report findings.
4. Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
5. Performing quantity take-offs and assisting in cost estimations for civil works.
6. Compiling and maintaining project documentation, reports, and technical data.
7. Assisting in preparing risk assessments and ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.
8. Using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software to produce technical plans.
9. Attending meetings with project teams to contribute to problem-solving and project execution.
10. Staying updated on local construction regulations and best practices.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
2. 0–2 years of experience in civil engineering or a construction-related role.
3. Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations applicable in the UAE.
4. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
6. Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
7. Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
8. Valid UAE driving license is preferred for site visits.
