Job Description
The Junior Civil Engineer will assist in the planning, design, and supervision of construction and infrastructure projects across the UAE. This entry-level role supports senior engineers in site inspections, preparing technical drawings, analyzing survey reports, and ensuring project compliance with local regulations. The position offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, ideal for recent graduates aiming to grow in the construction and engineering industry.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation of design layouts, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering projects.
- Supporting senior engineers in reviewing project plans and ensuring compliance with UAE building codes and standards.
- Participating in on-site inspections to monitor construction progress and report findings.
- Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Performing quantity take-offs and assisting in cost estimations for civil works.
- Compiling and maintaining project documentation, reports, and technical data.
- Assisting in preparing risk assessments and ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.
- Using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software to produce technical plans.
- Attending meetings with project teams to contribute to problem-solving and project execution.
- Staying updated on local construction regulations and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 0–2 years of experience in civil engineering or a construction-related role.
- Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations applicable in the UAE.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Valid UAE driving license is preferred for site visits.
