Job description

The A&P Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, inspection, and servicing of aircraft to ensure airworthiness. This includes troubleshooting mechanical issues, working from technical manuals and blueprints, and adhering to FAA regulations. This role requires both technical expertise and a commitment to safety and quality, often involving direct interaction with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes and engines of fixed-wing and/or rotary aircraft.
  2. Troubleshoot mechanical and system issues, and perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and FAA regulations.
  3. Interpret and work from engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and other technical documents.
  4. Complete all necessary paperwork and maintenance logs accurately, including parts usage and labor hours.
  5. Operate ground support equipment and obtain necessary qualifications for its use.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients regarding aircraft status and maintenance needs.
  7. Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained, controlled, and calibrated.
  8. Adhere to safety procedures, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
  9. Participate in required training programs and stay current with changes in technology and regulatory requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • You have an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining aircraft (military, rotary, or fixed wing)
  • Experience with business jets (preferred but not required).
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Must own and maintain a complete set of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to work in varying conditions, including outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, if applicable.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, maintenance tracking software, etc.)
  • GCAA & EASA License Holder (B1 &/or B2)
  • Type Rating on Global BD-700 series &/or CL-600 series
  • CAT-C License on BD-700 or CL-600 series, desirable
  • 7-10 years of experience working on Global or Challenger Aircrafts
  • Line Maintenance Experience is preferred
  • Team Player, able to work in 12-hour shifts
