Job purpose:
To coordinate and fulfill clients' transportation requirements in alignment with our company's operational guidelines, ensuring their expectations are met seamlessly.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute all domestic and international inbound & outbound shipment bookings; work closely with vendors to ensure shipments are handled according to client requirements.
- Facilitate communication between clients, suppliers, and the regional project control center to minimize delays.
- Oversee the material tracking system to ensure customers receive real-time status updates and reports as needed.
- Verify that all customer routing instructions are followed to ensure timely and accurate shipping processes.
- Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate with warehouse, airfreight, and sea freight departments to ensure on-time delivery; assist with all import/export processes to provide the best service while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Investigate routine customer shipment issues to ensure prompt service.
- Report potential problems and improvement opportunities to the Operations Supervisor.
- Process all export/import bookings, documentation, and dispatch requirements accurately and within agreed timeframes, liaising with carriers for pre-bookings and allocations.
- Ensure documentation meets customer service standards and is properly filed or scanned as per operational requirements.
- Ensure all entries are completed and shipments are cleared for export or import.
- Monitor shipments to ensure accurate processing.
- Provide quotes for carrier services and rates to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop positive working relationships, ensuring compliance and reducing delays caused by process issues or non-compliance.
- Address all financial queries promptly and provide meaningful resolutions.
